creative process. This leads the individual to understand themselves in ways other than just words. The use of visual art media can encourage a sense of letting go and a sense of calm, allowing one to take a step back to reflect and connect with oneself in a different way.

In art therapy with adolescents, we can explore periods of change and development through images, creation, and symbolic expression. Adolescence is an important time for developing identity and building self-confidence. Images can help adolescents better understand the challenges they may face in their daily lives, both personally and in their relationships.

Art therapy with children allows for a better understanding of emotions and the development of self-expression through play and visuals. Conflicts with peers, for example, can sometimes be due to a misunderstanding of one's emotions and difficulty verbalizing them. The therapy environment allows the child to develop a sense of security where they can express themselves and learn about themselves.
